A 19-year-old resident of New Grant was robbed of his cellphone while attempting to conduct a sale at the corner of Park and Piccadilly Streets in Port of Spain. The victim had advertised the device for $6,000 on Facebook Marketplace and met the suspect around 3:20 p.m. While the victim was seated in his blue Nissan Almera, the suspect snatched the phone, tossed an envelope at him, and fled on foot toward Bath Street. The suspect had previously contacted the victim under the guise of being a legitimate buyer before committing the theft.
