$26,400 Alcohol Scam at Arima Supermarket: Suspect Animal Tricks Shopper with Fake Staff Discount

A fraudulent incident occurred at Maraj Westside Supermarket, Arima, Northern Division, around 12:39 p.m. on Monday, December 15, 2025. A man known only as Animal deceived a shopper by falsely claiming to be an employee who could provide a staff discount on alcohol. The victim handed over $26,400 TTD to the suspect, who in turn provided a fake invoice before leaving the premises. The victim realized the deception only after attempting to collect the goods and being informed that the man was not an employee of the supermarket.
