Around 9:00 p.m., a 39-year-old man from Point Fortin was walking along Eastern Quarry Road in Laventille when he was targeted by a group of men. Upon reaching the vicinity of a mini-mart, the suspects accosted the victim and one man physically assaulted him. After the victim was knocked to the ground, the suspects relieved him of his gold chain and pendant, valued at $13,000. The assailants then fled the scene in an unknown direction.
