A 42-year-old Arouca man was the victim of an armed carjacking and robbery around 4:45 p.m. on Thursday in the Tacarigua area, which police suspect was a staged collision. After his black Nissan Tiida was struck from behind by a white Toyota Axio, an armed passenger from the Axio pointed a gun at the victim and stole his vehicle, a gold chain valued at $13,000, and $60,000 in cash. Although the stolen Nissan Tiida was later recovered, the money and jewelry remain missing.
