The body of 15-year-old Malini Persad was discovered in a forested area along G.P. Road four days after she was reported missing. Investigators had been following leads suggesting the teenager was sexually assaulted and killed by an acquaintance. Police remained on the scene throughout Thursday morning as homicide investigations continued.
