Shaffina Hosein Madoo, 68, was allegedly beaten to death with a rolling pin by her 60-year-old common-law partner at her home on Nanan Street, Bamboo No 1, Valsayn. The suspect confessed the crime to the victim's daughter around 12:49 am, claiming infidelity was the motive. The suspect later ingested poison and was hospitalized under police guard.
