A contractor was targeted in a vehicle break-in after withdrawing a large sum of cash intended for a home renovation project on Friday morning. While the victim was away from his vehicle for several minutes, a suspect smashed the rear window and stole a bag containing $76,000 and various personal items. The incident occurred in the parking lot of Republic Bank shortly after the cash had been secured in the car.
