A victim was robbed of jewelry valued at $4,000 while attempting to fulfill a Facebook Marketplace sale in Lower Santa Cruz around 11:30 a.m. After making arrangements with a suspect, the victim arrived at Grand Curacaye and was directed to a savannah area to deliver a gold-plated chain and a gold-plated hand band. Upon meeting the suspect and presenting the jewelry for inspection, the individual snatched both items from the victim’s hand. The suspect then fled on foot into a nearby track and escaped the area.
