While resisting a robbery attempt on Katwaroo Trace, a male driver was shot by a male passenger he had picked up in Mt. Hope. The suspect, who was armed with a firearm, discharged the weapon during a physical struggle with the victim after the victim exited his black Honda Vezel. The victim felt a burning sensation in his lower back and was later treated for gunshot wounds at the San Fernando General Hospital. Three 9mm spent shells were found at the scene following the discharge of the firearm.
