A violent home invasion occurred at a residence in Spring Garden, Port-of-Spain Division, around 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 15, 2025. An 89-year-old man and his 89-year-old wife were accosted in their home by three masked men. The male victim was tied, gagged, forced to the ground, and assaulted, sustaining injuries to his back and head. His wife was also tied up. The thieves ransacked the home, stealing a wedding ring and other jewelry, two Samsung phones, a Samsung TV, a tablet, a wristwatch, TT$600 in cash, a bottle of coins, and a Stihl 250 brush cutter.
