A man from Manzanilla was lured to Laventille under the guise of a meeting arranged through the dating app Grindr. Upon his arrival at Kerr Trace, he was held at gunpoint, taken into an abandoned house, and subjected to a violent ordeal. Police discovered the victim bound and gagged inside the structure around 2:10 p.m. He had been robbed of his belongings and physically assaulted by his captors. The victim was rescued by officers and transported to the Port of Spain General Hospital for medical treatment.
