A violent burglary and armed robbery occurred shortly after 1:00 a.m. on November 24 at St Benedict's RC Church in the La Romaine area. Five masked intruders forced their way in, bound a 22-year-old security guard with rope, and then cut the power to the priests' quarters. They awakened 69-year-old Fr Derek Anton, tied him up, and stole his cellphone, wallet (containing about $170 cash), and the previous day's church collections before escaping.
