Gaston Smith was severely injured during a targeted attack in his garden off Pierre Street Extension. A suspect known to the victim as Mikel reportedly counted backward from ten to zero before dousing Smith with an unknown liquid and pursuing him with a cutlass, inflicting multiple chop wounds as the victim attempted to flee to his home.
