A 50-year-old shop owner narrowly avoided injury after being fired upon during an attempted armed robbery at his business on Aerides Drive, Orchid Garden. Around 10:30 a.m., two armed men entered the minimart while the owner was attending to customers. One suspect pointed a firearm at him and discharged two rounds, prompting the victim to flee to the back of the premises to seek cover. Realizing the victim had escaped, the suspects jumped over the front gate and fled the scene on foot. No items were reported stolen during the incident.
