A violent robbery occurred at the south-western carpark of Trincity Mall, Northern Division, around 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 18, 2025. A woman from Belmont and her husband were walking to their vehicle near Tru Valu when two men exited a silver-grey Nissan Tiida (PDS 8490) parked nearby. The suspects accosted the woman and grabbed her handbag, leading to a struggle. During the altercation, the victim fell to the ground and was dragged a short distance before the thieves made off with the bag. The stolen items included a handbag valued at £500 (UK), a Samsung A11, US$300, TT$1,500, and various personal documents. The suspects fled the scene via the highway in an easterly direction.
