Police discovered the decomposing body of Mary Sooknanan in an apartment on Turenia Avenue after neighbors reported a foul odor. Sooknanan’s daughter and granddaughter reportedly refused to grant officers entry, forcing them to break in through the back. The deceased was allegedly found with her feet bound. Two women, dressed in white gowns and yellow head coverings, were detained at the scene.
