A 57-year-old private hire taxi driver was attacked and robbed late on December 22 after picking up three male passengers in Chaguanas. Upon reaching Calcutta, one suspect, armed with an object resembling a firearm, struck the driver on the head and demanded valuables. The robbers stole his Samsung cellphone, wallet containing $130 cash, and fled the scene in his white Nissan Tiida valued at $45,000.
