Officers of the Tobago Division arrested a known Trinidadian suspect, Cavio Elie, alias Baby, during a targeted raid at a guesthouse in Bethel. Around 9:30 p.m., police searched Apartment #2 at KC’s apartment building on Rise Road after receiving intelligence. The search yielded a Glock 9mm pistol with a magazine containing 27 rounds of ammunition found on the kitchen counter, and a second magazine containing 19 rounds discovered on a living room couch. Additionally, officers seized TT$18,949.00 and US$250.00 in cash. Elie, who is originally from Lower Blanchisseuse and known to authorities in Trinidad, was taken into custody pending charges.
