A robbery occurred at a restaurant car park in Five Rivers, Arouca, Northern Division, around 3:15 p.m. on Thursday, December 18, 2025. A woman was waiting in her husband’s vehicle when two men approached and entered through both the driver and passenger doors. The victim was struck during a struggle with one suspect while the other stole two envelopes containing bank documents and $80 TTD in cash. The suspects fled west along the Eastern Main Road into a black Nissan Tiida hatchback. Following a pursuit, officers from the Arouca Charge Room and the NCTF-E intercepted the vehicle (PCL 8643) on the Churchill–Roosevelt Highway near Maloney, discovering it was fitted with false registration plates.
