A wounding with intent incident occurred in Maloney Gardens, D’Abadie, on Saturday, December 13, 2025, around 6:00 p.m. Richie Belcon (35) was at a gathering in Building 21 when he heard explosions and sustained a gunshot wound to his upper back. Belcon was treated at Arima General Hospital before being transferred to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex. Two 9mm spent shell casings were found at the scene, and investigations are ongoing to identify the suspect.
