Police are investigating a brutal aggravated assault that occurred around 2:10 a.m. on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at a fruit shed on Bamboo #3 Boulevard. The victim, 39-year-old Bobby Sankar of Mt. Lambert, was chopped several times by a masked man while he slept in a chair. Sankar suffered severe injuries, including the severing of two fingers. He was transported to the EWMSC, where he was listed in critical condition.
