A 20-year-old autistic man is currently in critical condition after being struck in the stomach with a piece of metal pipe by a male suspect known as David on Henry Street, Arouca. The force of the blow resulted in a ruptured appendix and intestines, requiring the victim to undergo emergency surgery. The victim remains hospitalized on intravenous drips, unable to consume food or water, as medical professionals continue to monitor his precarious condition. Relatives have been informed that while the victim is being stabilized, he is not yet out of danger following the violent encounter.
