A woman was the victim of a fraudulent online transaction after responding to an advertisement for an iPhone 15 Pro Max on a Facebook page posing as Cue Mobile Enterprises. The victim engaged with the account via Messenger and was instructed to make an upfront online payment of $6,500 to a First Citizens Bank (FCB) account to finalize the sale. On Saturday, January 11, 2025, she completed the transfer with the promise of a next-day delivery. The delivery never occurred, and the perpetrators have since ceased all communication with the victim, leading to the matter being reported to the police as a cyber-crime and fraud incident.
