A violent home invasion and carjacking occurred around 6:20 p.m. in the Manzanilla area. A 70-year-old man, his 68-year-old wife, and a 21-year-old woman were all beaten and robbed after three bandits forced their way into the home. The intruders stole a blue Nissan Tiida belonging to the family and fled, though the stolen vehicle was later recovered abandoned.
