A 71-year-old man in the Barataria area was the victim of a brutal home invasion around 11:30 p.m. Three bandits confronted the victim, tied his hands, and beat him before locking him in the bathroom. The criminals stole his cellphone, a black Hyundai Tucson, $20,000 in cash, and $1,500 USD.
