The homeowner secured the premises around 7:15 a.m., but around 9:00 a.m., the housekeeper discovered a pried window downstairs. Upon investigating the upstairs master bedroom, she confronted a suspect who pushed past her and fled downstairs, escaping through the window. The homeowner later reported that two gold earrings valued at $1,000 were stolen from a handbag in the room.
