An ieTV station manager was kidnapped during rush hour traffic while driving his white Honda Vezel (PEK 9654) near the Sea Lots walkover. A gunman entered the vehicle and forced the victim to drive to Laventille, where he was led into a track and physically assaulted by a group of five men. The attackers reportedly intended to execute the victim for a TT$250,000 debt before realizing he was not their intended target. The suspects eventually fled with the victim's vehicle, which contained a Lenovo laptop and personal bank cards that were later used to withdraw cash.
