A 33-year-old driver from Chase Village survived a violent assault by three passengers near Dookie Lane on Monday night. After being choked and threatened, the victim was beaten and struck in the head with a red concrete block, which was also used to smash his windscreen. The driver managed to escape the attackers by sounding his horn and driving directly to the Tunapuna Police Station.
