Two men were wounded during a targeted shooting at a home along Mathura Road, Demerara, Arima, around 10:30 a.m. One victim was standing in front of the house when two armed men approached and opened fire, hitting him five times as he attempted to flee to the back of the property. A second man, who was sleeping inside the residence at the time, was struck in the groin by a stray bullet. Both victims were initially treated at the Arima Health Facility, with the more seriously injured man later transferred to Mt. Hope hospital in critical but stable condition.
