A 16-year-old boy from Penal was detained by officers of the San Fernando Police Station after being allegedly found in possession of counterfeit currency. Around 8:05 p.m. on Friday, December 5, 2025, the teen voluntarily handed over nine (9) counterfeit TT$100 bills to officers at the station. He was subsequently taken to the Oropouche Police Station as investigations into the financial crime are ongoing.
